Typical Piano Tuning Cost
In the Upstate South Carolina area, piano tuning typically ranges between $150 and $250 depending on the condition of the instrument.
Regular maintenance helps maintain stable pitch, tone quality, and the mechanical health of the instrument.
Most pianos should be tuned at least twice per year.
Standard Service Pricing
Standard Piano Tuning – $150
Includes:
• Pitch stabilization
• Fine tuning to concert pitch
• Basic inspection of the piano
Recommended for instruments that are tuned regularly.
Deluxe Tuning + Cleaning – $250
Includes:
• Full piano tuning
• Interior cleaning
• Keybed and action dust removal
• Exterior cleaning
Recommended for pianos that have not been serviced recently.
Mini-Service Package – $500
Includes:
• Piano tuning
• Minor regulation adjustments
• Minor mechanical repairs
• Cleaning and service adjustments
Ideal for pianos showing playability issues.
When a Piano Needs Additional Work
Pitch Raise or Stabilization Service
If a piano has not been tuned for several years, the pitch may drop significantly below standard pitch.
In these cases the instrument may require:
- Pitch raise
- Stabilization tuning
- Final tuning
Piano Evaluation
Instrument Evaluation & Condition Report – $275
This service includes a detailed inspection of:
• Mechanical components
• Tuning stability
• Structural condition
Commonly requested for:
• Buying or selling a piano
• Insurance documentation
• Estate evaluations
Travel Area
Our standard service area includes:
- Greenville
- Spartanburg
- Inman
- Greer
- Boiling Springs
- Duncan
- Landrum
We also travel for appointments throughout Upstate South Carolina and parts of North Carolina.
Standard service pricing includes travel within 30 miles of Inman, South Carolina.
Appointments outside this area may incur an additional travel charge of $2.00 per mile (one way).
A minimum travel surcharge may apply for extended travel appointments. Minimum additional travel charge: $20

Offer travel day clusters. Periodically we schedule service days in surrounding areas to reduce travel costs for clients.
Diagnostic Visits
Sometimes a piano may require repair before tuning can be completed.
If the piano cannot be tuned due to structural or mechanical issues, a service call or diagnostic fee may apply to cover travel, inspection, and professional evaluation.
Any recommended repairs will always be discussed before additional work is performed.
